Frank Jones Memorial Barbecue
The annual Frank Jones Memorial Enforcement Fund Barbecue and Fundraiser was held on Saturday, January 11 at the Lapp RiverHouse. It was a beautiful day and a nice chance get out and enjoy an afternoon at the river with some great food while supporting a good cause. The event was held in partnership with Fresno Fly Fishers for Conservation with the generous donations and support from their members.
100% of the proceeds from this dedicated funding stream will be forwarded to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to fund extra warden patrols on the Kings River to help reduce the trout poaching pressure. This event is named in memory of the Honorable Franklin P. Jones and his love for fly fishing and the great outdoors. To date the program has raised more than $114,000.
