INVASIVE SPECIES REMOVAL

Since 2013, the Kings River Conservancy has retained the services of Rusmore Consulting to remove invasive plant species along the Kings River. These plant species include Yellow Star Thistle, Giant Reed, Fig, Tree of Heaven and others. In a phased program starting at Pine Flat Dam and working downstream, the effort thus far has effectively removed all invasive plants from the dam to Cobbles Weir, a distance of seven miles   At this point, Giant Reed is being removed at the City of Sanger property just northwest of Goodfellow Ave. This important  program is also funded by the Ted Martin Family Grant.  KRC is seeking additional funding to expand this program to more of the river.  If you would like to donate to this program, please click here and include Invasive Species Removal in the comment line.
